Greetings to participants of 9th International Yuri Bashmet Festival

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 9th International Yuri Bashmet Festival.

    “The Belarusian people are by right proud of their ancient and rich music legacy and national creative schools. Among our compatriots are many renowned composers and musicians who have gained international recognition for their talent,” the message of greetings reads.

    According to the President, the fact that the forum named after maestro Yuri Bashmet is permanently held in Belarus is another testimony to the huge authority of Belarus in the music world.

    “Every year the festival enriches its glorious traditions by fulfilling an important mission to preserve genuine culture and support gifted youth. This time the festival’s program which includes performances of famous masters and budding stars from various countries will present a wonderful creative feast for the amateurs of classical music,” the head of state remarked. “I am convinced that this year’s festival will become a period of unforgettable discoveries and interesting meetings for its participants and guests, will help strengthen friendship and cooperation between nations,” he added.
