Greetings to participants of 9th CIS and Eurasia Oncology and Radiology Congress

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 9th CIS and Eurasia Oncology and Radiology Congress.

“It is deeply symbolic that this forum is held in Belarus because our country prioritizes the development of medicine. For more than 80 years of its existence, the Belarusian cancer treatment service has established solid ties with doctors from neighboring countries. And now doctors from such distant countries as France, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc. expressed eagerness to take part in the congress,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state stressed that Belarusian specialists as well as foreign colleagues are doing their best to devise new approaches in the fight against one of the most serious threats to the health of the mankind. “We are interested in the development of screening technologies, molecular and genetic diagnostics, application of cutting-edge radiology methods, nano- and cellular technologies, ramping up the production of Belarusian medications,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.

The President expressed confidence that the 9th oncology and radiology congress will be a landmark event for the medical community, and that the recommendations and proposals which will be put forward at the forum will give an additional impetus to the improvement of cancer treatment.
