Greetings to Latvia president-elect Egils Levits

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Egils Levits who was elected President of the Republic of Latvia.

    “Thanks to the many-year history of peaceful co-existence our countries have many opportunities for advancing cooperation across the board,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the further development of Belarus-Latvia ties will help strengthen trust and mutual understanding, security and stability in the European region.

    The head of state wished Egils Levits health and every success in his responsible work. He also wished Latvian people peace and wellbeing.
