Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko conferred state awards on representatives of various professions in recognition of many-year productive work, exemplary fulfillment of service duties, attainment of good production results, a big personal contribution to the development of science and teaching, healthcare, culture, and sport.

    The Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class was bestowed upon Deputy Interior Minister – Commander of the Interior Forces Yuri Karayev.

    The Medal for Courage was conferred on head of the combat support department – head of the combat engineer service of military unit No. 5525 of the interior forces of the Interior Ministry Nikolai Nagurgy, chief instructor of the dog service of the combat engineer service of the same military unit Yuri Naumenko.

    The Medal for the Maintenance of Public Order was bestowed upon deputy head of the public order protection department – head of the mass events department of the public security police unit of the interior department of the Minsk City Executive Committee Alexander Basov, head of the state automobile inspectorate of the public security police unit of the interior department of the Frunzensky District Administration of Minsk Alexander Vasilevich.

    The Medal for Excellence in the State Border Protection was conferred on worker of the border control department of border protection service No. 86 Alexander Dimchoglo.

    The Medal for Excellence in the Prevention and Mitigation of Emergencies was presented to chief fire fighter of the Gorky District emergencies department of the Mogilev Oblast department of the Emergencies Ministry Sergei Rayemsky. The Medal for Excellent Labor was conferred on worker of Pinskdrev Holding Company Mikhail Shitov. The Medal of Francysk Skaryna was bestowed upon head of the marketing chair of the Belarusian State Economic University Ivan Akulich.

    The Honored Doctor of Belarus title was conferred on administrator of the Minsk gynecological hospital Alexander Bich.

    Apart from that, Aleksandr Lukashenko sent official letters of thanks to head of the prosthetic and orthopedic footwear department of the Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center Alexander Mavkolenko, chairman of the board of the Belarusian Association of Hearing Impaired People Sergei Saputo, and others.
