Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards

    President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko honored representatives of various professions with orders, medals and honorary titles. Corresponding decree No. 561 was signed by the head of state on 3 December.

    Representatives of various professions received orders, medals and honorary titles in recognition of many-year productive work, exemplary fulfillment of service duties, attainment of high production results in the manufacturing sector and construction, a big personal contribution to the development of science, civil aviation, communications, healthcare, education, culture and sport.

    The Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class was bestowed upon Sergei Sukhovilo, commander of 382nd Separate Guard Mobile Battalion of the 38th Separate Guard Mobile Brigade of the Armed Forces.

    The Order of Honor was conferred on coach-teacher of the Mogilev State Olympic Reserve College Anatoly Lobachev.

    The Order of Francysk Skaryna was bestowed upon Vasily Starichenok, dean of the Belarusian and Russian philology department of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University.

    The Honored Scientist of Belarus title was conferred on Olga Aleinikova, director of the Belarusian research center of children’s oncology, hematology and immunology; the Honored Artist of Belarus title was presented to Mikhail Metlitsky, chief master of stage of the Brest Academic Drama Theater.
