Condolences to Russia President Vladimir Putin

    Belarus has been monitoring progress of the search and rescue operation in the Russian city of Magnitogorsk with alarm and tension. The disaster, which occurred on New Year’s eve, has left no Belarusian unmoved. “All of us bow heads in memory of victims of the dreadful tragedy,” said Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko in his message of condolence sent to President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

    “On behalf of the Belarusian nation and myself I would like to offer my most sincere and deepest condolence to you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], to the entire brotherly nation of Russia. I would like to offer words of compassion and support to friends and families of the dead,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
