Consumer services for rural residents will be subsidized in Belarus. This is envisaged in Decree No. 227 “On ensuring quality and affordability of consumer services” which was signed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 28 June.
In accordance with the decree, it will be possible to provide subsidies (covering expenses) from local budgets to legal entities and self-employed businessmen for the provision of consumer services in rural areas as part of state programs.
The document aims to stimulate business activities, create of new jobs, ensure the quality and affordability of consumer services in rural areas.
