Commentary to Decree No. 173 of 25 April 2015
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 173 “Concerning the removal of excise duties on certain categories of merchandize” on 25 April 2015.
In line with the decree, Belarusian-made alcoholic beverages and tobacco products purchased by the owners of duty free shops for subsequent sale are exempt from excise duties in 2015. The measures envisaged in the decree will help create equal conditions for the sale of local and imported products in these shops.
