Commentary to Decree No. 145 of 2 April 2015

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 145 to introduce amendments and an addition to Decree No. 41 of 19 January 2012 “Concerning the state targeted social aid” on 2 April.

In accordance with Decree No. 570 of 8 December 2014 “Concerning the improvement of pension provision system”, social pensions will be assigned to people who have not achieved minimum service record needed to claim retirement pensions when they turn 65 years (men) and 60 years (women).

In order to exclude the provision of the state targeted social aid to people who have reached the generally established pension age but have not achieved minimum service record needed to claim retirement pensions, Decree No. 41 is amended in a way that women aged from 55 to 60 years, men aged from 60 to 65 years are included in the category of able-bodied citizens.

The decree also amends other provisions of Decree No. 41.
