Commentary to Decree No. 126 of 18 March 2015

    On 18 March President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 126 “Concerning financial aid”.

    Due to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the document envisages that one-off financial aid to the tune of Br10 million shall be provided to Heroes of the Soviet Union, people decorated with the Order of Glory (three degrees), Heroes of the Socialist Labor who received this title in recognition of their achievements during the Great Patriotic War.

    Financial aid to the tune of Br8 million shall be provided to the disabled veterans and people who took part in the Great Patriotic War before 3 September 1945, people who took part in the lifting of mines after the liberation from the Nazi invasion in 1943-1945.

    People decorated with orders and medals of the USSR for their selfless work and impeccable military service in the rear during the Great Patriotic War, people working in the rear in the vicinity of the frontline, and other categories of people who suffered from the consequences of the war shall receive financial aid to the tune of Br3.5 million.

    Financial aid will be paid in the period from 1 April 2015 to 1 May 2015.
