Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented awards For Spiritual Revival, special prizes to Belarusian art luminaries. The head of state signed corresponding decrees.
Five awards For Spiritual Revival were presented in 2020. They were conferred on teams of workers and authors, representatives of religious and educational organizations in recognition of their outstanding activities in the humanitarian field, efforts to preserve and multiply Belarus’ national cultural legacy, contribution to patriotic education, strengthening of spiritual values and ideas of mercy.
The team of authors, including member of the Belarusian Union of Artists Yelena Andryushchenko, the deputy head of the Main Department of Public Special Cultural Events and Professional Art – head of the Department of Professional Art of the Culture Ministry, chairperson of the Synodal Department for Church Art, Architecture and Renovation of the Belarusian Orthodox Church Maria Netsvetayeva and director of Zolotoy Platan Company Oleg Yermolovich, received the award for the renovation of the Turov Cross of the 12th-13th centuries.
The award For Spiritual Revival was conferred on the team of authors, including senior architects of OAO Institut Gomelgrazhdanproyekt Sergei Pervitsky and Viktor Beltyukov and member of the Belarusian Union of Writers Izyaslav Kotlyarov, for the erection of a memorial complex at the site of the burned village of Ola in Svetlogorsk District, Gomel Oblast.
The award For Spiritual Revival was bestowed upon parents and teachers of the family-type orphanage of the Education Department of the Soligorsk District Executive Committee Tatyana and Andrei Baritol for a big contribution to raising orphans and children left without parental care.
The personnel of the Minsk Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital received the award for the promotion of the ideas of humanism in the Belarusian society, provision of medical aid to the population in the period of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The award For Spiritual Revival was conferred on priest of the Saint Trinity Church in the agrotown of Soltanovshchina, Nesvizh District, of the Slutsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church Oleg Abramovich for a big personal contribution to the promotion of spiritual values with children and youth, organization of charity activities of the brotherhood in honor of the Transfiguration of Christ.
Ten special prizes of the Belarusian President were presented to art luminaries in recognition of their achievements in music, museum and library services, journalism, television, folk and amateur art, education and support of creative youth.
The team of authors, including chief and senior librarians of the Department for Marketing and Library Science of the Mogilev Oblast Library named after V.I.Lenin Yulia Kostyuk and Ivan Malinin, received the special prize for their achievements in patriotic education, development of information resources featuring the topic of the native land.
The award was also conferred on the team of authors, including director of the History Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, candidate of historical sciences Vadim Lakiza, specialist of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, master of historical sciences Ruslan Kniga, senior architect of the affiliated company Brestrestavratsiyaproyekt of Belrestavratsiya Company Olga Nichiporchik, for their efforts to preserve the historical memory of the Belarusian people, open an open-air archeological museum in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
The special prize of the Belarusian President was bestowed upon the team of authors, including head of the analytical center EcooM of MEDIAFACT-ECO Company Sergei Musiyenko, reporter of the Political Information Department of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House Maksim Osipov, head of the Illustration Department of the United Secretariat of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House Maksim Shnip, for a big contribution to the promotion of patriotic awareness of people, development of the project Pride FOR Belarus.
The personnel of the Institute of Border Service received the award for a big contribution to the formation of the spiritual foundation of the young generation, implementation of the youth patriotic project A Step With Courage to Immortality.
The special prize was also conferred on the personnel of the Vitebsk Oblast Folk Art Center for outstanding achievements in the preservation of the historical and cultural legacy of Belarus, restoration of the traditional technology of making clay toys of Orsha’s Podneprovye and Vitebsk’s Podvinye.
The personnel of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex received the award for a big contribution to the preservation of the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War, implementation of the Union State’s project to renovate buildings in Brest Fortress.
The specialists of the National Center of Youth and Children’s Art received the special prize for the efforts to restore and preserve national traditions, the promotion of modern art trends, a big contribution to the education of children and youth.
The special prize was conferred on chief conductor of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra, People’s Artist of Belarus Aleksandr Anisimov for a big personal contribution to the strengthening of peace and accord in the society with the help of music, the implementation of large-scale national and international creative projects.
Chairman of the Board of the Second National TV Channel Marat Markov was honored with the special prize of the Belarusian President for the production of TV programs about people, events and achievements of modern Belarus.
The award was conferred on master of folk musical instruments of the Odelsk Folk Art Center, the affiliated company of the Grodno District Culture and Information Center, Maryan Skromblevich for a big personal contribution to the restoration of traditions of making musical instruments.
