Belarus President’s monthly grants awarded to Belarusian scientists and researchers in 2015

    Belarus President’s monthly grants in 2015 will be awarded to 67 employees of the institutions of science, education, healthcare and culture. The head of state signed the relevant executive order on 19 January.

    In science the grants have been awarded to 28 doctors and candidates of sciences. The grants will focus on the research in various fields such as chemical technologies and materials, energy security, energy efficiency and energy saving, nuclear energy, nanomaterials.

    The grants in education have been awarded to 14 heads and specialists of educational institutions that have achieved the educational-methodological results which have already been implemented in the educational process.

    The grants in healthcare have been allocated to 15 specialists for the research in the field of oncology, transplantation, cardiology and cardiac surgery, pediatrics, allergology, neurology and neurosurgery, surgery and trauma, for the measures to improve the efficiency of anti-epidemic measures, and reduce the rate of hospital-acquired infections.

    In culture the grants have been awarded to 10 professionals who have made a significant contribution to the development of culture. The grants will be used to finance the cultural projects that promote the national traditions and the progressive development of the Belarusian culture.

    The press service noted that the executive order aims to support the activities that are of high priority for the development of the country, in science, education, healthcare, culture, and is an indication of the state support for the professionals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the relevant sectors.
