Belarus President partakes in international bikers’ festival

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the international bikers’ festival celebrating the closing of the motorcycle season 2016 on 24 September.

The event kicked off at the Mound of Glory Memorial. Aleksandr Lukashenko met with officials of the Harley-Davidson headquarters and heads of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) offices from Europe and the CIS. Then, the President drove a Harley-Davidson at the head of the column of bikers from the Mound of Glory to the SportsPalace where he visited different festival events, including the Traffic Rules children’s village.

Aleksandr Lukashenko watched some exhibition shows from young and experienced motorcyclists. Driving motorcycles and patrol cars were members of the Strela road patrol service of the Interior Ministry of Belarus and the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Interior Ministry of Russia.

Partaking in the closing ceremony of the motorcycle season 2016 were more than 3,000 bikers from Belarus, Russia, the Baltic states and countries of Western Europe.
