Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of TIBO-2014  and Mass Media in Belarus events

Dear friends,

I extend my best greetings to the participants of the forum TIBO-2014 and the exhibition Mass Media in Belarus.

For the last several decades information technologies have drastically changed the face of the modern world by opening up startling opportunities for a person. It is not without reason that this phase of the civilization development is called ‘the information society’.

Belarus has put forward an ambitious goal to become a leader in Eastern Europe in terms of ‘digital economy’ development in the near future.

I am convinced that the achievements of talented Belarusian scientists, engineers, software designers and businessmen showcased at the forum TIBO-2014 will be the foundation of our success.

It is symbolic that the forum TIBO-2014 and the exhibition Mass Media in Belarus are held at the same time. Traditional mass media cannot be imagined without the Internet. It is obvious that the application of innovative technologies in the Belarusian media sphere will be the foundation of success.

I sincerely hope that the participants and guests of these events will soon achieve their goals and will succeed in all undertakings for the benefit of the Belarusian nation.
