Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to China President Xi Jinping

    On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to China President Xi Jinping and the friendly people of China on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

    The message of greetings reads that this year the holiday is adjacent to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two and the victory in the Sino-Japanese War.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that it was a big honor for him to attend the celebrations in Beijing in September 2015 and to commemorate millions of Chinese people who bravely fought for the liberation of the Fatherland and victims of the fight against aggressors.

    The Belarusian President stressed that under the wise leadership of Xi Jinping China strengthens its authority on the international arena, raises the wellbeing of the Chinese people and implements reforms of paramount importance for the country’s future.

    “This year in the history of the Belarusian-Chinese relations is characterized by the vigorous development the top-level dialogue, new dynamics of contacts between regions, enterprises and organizations of the two countries, intensive cultural, scientific, humanitarian exchange programs,” the message of greetings reads.

    The Belarusian President expressed hope that the momentum which the bilateral cooperation gained after the official visit of the China President to the Republic of Belarus in May 2015 and other top-level contacts will help promote all-round strategic partnership of Belarus and China to a brand-new level.
