Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter
of birthday greetings to academician Zhores Alferov.
“Your life is an example of the selfless service to science, intellectual search, the aspiration to reach new heights. Thanks to the bright talent and devotion to your work you enjoy world fame and received the most prestigious award of the scientific community,” the felicitation message reads.
The head of state remarked that the active civil position of Zhores Alferov, the resolution to protect his believes and ideals deserve profound respect.
“We are grateful for the attention that you pay to the enhancement of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in research, appreciate you efforts to support young scientists,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The President emphasized that Zhores Alferov will always be a welcome guest in Belarus.
