Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter
of birthday greetings to People’s Artist of Belarus Leonid Zakhlevny.
“Many people appreciate your creativity, diligence, devotion to the national culture, and bright talent,” the felicitation message reads. “High professionalism, internal culture, the ability to convey the author’s idea to the audience made your music performed by the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus, the folk band Byaseda, very popular in Belarus.”
The head of state expressed confidence that Leonid Zakhlevny will continue making a big contribution to the national legacy of the Belarusian music, and will help popularize Belarusian songs in the country and abroad.
