Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko heard out a report from State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislav Zas on 1 April.

The head of state was informed about the stable operation of power-wielding agencies.

Aleksandr Lukashenko asked about the situation at the state border. According to the state secretary, the situation at the border is calm. Stanislav Zas spoke in detail about certain difficulties which exist at the border with Lithuania. In particular, he said that there seasonal queues. The President was informed about the decision to enhance the work at a number of border checkpoints there.

The report focused on the situation at the southern part of the border. Stanislav Zas said that the situation is under control there.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the situation in Belarus. According to the state secretary, the safety of people is ensured, the crime rate is not on the rise, the number of grave crimes and thefts is falling. Besides, the participants of the meeting discussed the fulfillment of the President’s instruction to enhance public safety in rural areas.

At the meeting Stanislav Zas also spoke about the efforts of the Emergencies Ministry to prevent possible floods and said that the situation is under control. The head of state was also informed about the control over the preparations for the spring sowing campaign.

Aleksandr Lukashenko urged power-wielding agencies to step up control over the maintenance of public safety.
