Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Metropolitan Filaret, Patriarchal Exarch Emeritus of All Belarus, on 19 May.

The meeting took place in the days of the Easter celebrations. The President and the Metropolitan congratulated each other on this bright holiday.

The head of state and Metropolitan Filaret lit candles in the House Church in honor of the Belarusian Saints, and had a warm conversation over tea.

Aleksandr Lukashenko gave a handmade set of china to Metropolitan Filaret.
