Aleksandr Lukashenko extends measures to support export programs for 2019-2020

On 29 January Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.31 to extend Decree No.466 “On some measures to promote goods made in the Republic of Belarus” as of 24 September 2009 for the period of 2019-2020. This decree is designed to support Belarusian machinery export programs.

The document provides for an opportunity to use such forms of international settlements as a bank-to-bank loan to a customer’s bank and an export documentary letter of credit with post-financing. These instruments regulating rules and principles of international law are common and comprehensible for all participants of foreign trade transactions.

The decree is expected to facilitate export of Belarusian products and help penetrate new markets.
