Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Nikolai Latyshenok President's Aide for General Affairs.

The head of state noted that Nikolai Latyshenok is well familiar with the tasks he will have to deal with in his new position as he was in close contact with the presidential aides while on his previous post. “All the issues that the President deals with fall within the purview of the aide for general affairs,” he said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the need to cooperate with the presidential aides in the regions. The information collected from them must be reported promptly to the head of state. The new aide will also have to deal with some of the organizational issues.

“The president's general affairs such as contacts with other departments, assistants, deputy heads of the President Administration should be, first and foremost, discussed and considered by the head of the President Administration. Before submitting any issue for consideration of the President, they should be thoroughly elaborated at the level of the head of the President Administration,” the President stressed.
