Mogilev city development plan revised till 2025

    On 20 April, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 128 to revise the city development plan of Mogilev for the period till 2025.

    The decree aims to determine the optimal planning structure of the city which was harmonized during the working trip of the head of state to Vitebsk Oblast and Mogilev Oblast on 14 November 2016.

    The city development plan of Mogilev has been prepared on the basis of the architectural and planning concept of residential districts, the peculiarities of the city’s social and economic development, the current condition of its functional zones and Mogilev’s planning structure, the use of adjacent territories and major transport arteries.

    Plans have been made to complete the construction of a number of residential districts, including Kazimirovka, Sputnik, Solnechny, residential zones in Kriulina Street – Turova Street, Stasova Street – Grishina Street, etc.

    Plans have been also made to complete the development of homestead districts Grebenevo, Dary, Dachny, Gorodshchina, Sarakanaisk, in Schmidt Avenue, in the vicinity of Agrarnaya Street – Slepokurova Street, the construction of social infrastructure facilities in new districts.

    It is also planned to step up efforts to renovate residential territories, including the demolition of dilapidated housing, relocation of hazardous enterprises to special industrial zones, stepping up efforts to restore the historical part of the city, etc.

    The events envisaged in the city development plan will help make justified planning decisions regarding the territorial development of Mogilev, the rational zoning of its territories for urban construction, the improvement of the living standards of people thanks to the erection of social, transport, and engineering infrastructure facilities.
