Meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

As part of his visit to the United Arab Emirates Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on 6 November.

During the meeting the sides discussed progress in implementing the agreements reached as a result of the recent visit of the crown prince to Belarus. The next steps to fulfill these agreements were determined.

Aleksandr Lukashenko mentioned a delegation of representatives of the UAE private sector had been promptly sent to Belarus. It signifies the genuine interest of the UAE in advancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Aleksandr Lukashenko assured that maximum assistance will be provided for the sake of resolving any possible issues.

The sides discussed cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing sector, banking, logistics, and humanitarian sphere. Close attention was paid to cooperation in sport.

The leaders of the two countries discussed the situation in the Middle East and in the global context in detail.

Military technology cooperation is part of the bilateral relations. Readiness to expand the dialogue about the areas the UAE side may be interested in was noted, including such areas as scientific research, education, organization of joint training sessions, and the sharing of the best practices.

Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the hospitality and attention the Belarusian delegation enjoyed. He presented a panel picture – a double hologram Falcons – as a gift to the crown prince. These graceful, strong, agile, and rare birds are viewed as an embodiment of strength and courage and represent a national symbol of the United Arab Emirates.
