The Belynichi District authorities should come to grips with development issues of the district as soon as possible, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he toured the district on 10 July.

“We have made an arrangement about Belynichi District: everything should be done by 2020. No mammoth aid will be provided,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The head of state noted that social and economic indicators of the district have deteriorated. He harshly criticized the work of the local and regional authorities, as well as government members responsible for this district.

The President believes that Belynichi District should model itself on the Rodina collective farm which success story is attributed to innovative solutions and effective management. In this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko asked head of the collective farm Alexander Lapotentov who has been in charge of the enterprise for over 35 years to share his expertise and knowledge with the chairman of the district executive committee.

“We will lend a helping hand, however you should not expect huge investments. We have a lot of things to invest in, we need to see good prospects,” the head of state said.

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has presented a letter of commendation from the President and a Geely Atlas car to the team of the Rodina collective farm. The company was honored in recognition of its great performance and considerable contribution to the development of the agricultural industry.

The head of state said that it took much time to choose the gift. When someone suggested giving a car, the President was hesitant: the head of the enterprise has a vehicle already. “They said that this car could be used for weddings or to take someone to hospital or elsewhere. Here is your car. Enjoy it!” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The President believes that there is no harder work than working the land. “It could be handled only by the strongest people who really love their land and feel its heartbeat, figuratively speaking,” he said.

Such people work in one of the country’s best enterprises - the Rodina collective farm, the head of state added. “It has set an example for the entire agricultural industry. Looking at what you have achieved, it is hard to believe that the enterprise was once struggling. However, you managed to turn it around and become an advanced, modern and successful enterprise. I really appreciate it,” the President said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the practices of the Rodina collective farm to set up simple, but efficient farms will be adopted not only by local enterprises, but throughout the country.

The President added that the hard work of the team brings impressive results: the company does not just produce, but also makes good money on its products.

“It is encouraging that your team includes many young professionals. It is the most eloquent example of the company’s well-being and its good prospects,” the head of state underlined. He is convinced that this success is due to a large extent to the company’s chief, Alexander Lapotentov. After studying in cities, young people go back to their native agro-town. “This testifies to great working and living conditions and attests to real patriotism, which is instilled by personal example of parents. A generation of local residents has built a beautiful and comfortable place where you always want to go back to. Such dedication inspires to reach new heights, because one cannot give up what their parents have started,” the President is convinced.

He thanked the workers of the agricultural company for their professionalism and dedication to the best traditions of agriculture and contribution to the prestige of the agrarian profession. “By your hard work you ensure the sustainable development of your company and contribute to the food security of the country,” the Belarusian leader added.

The Rodina collective farm is a seed growing company that produces elite seeds of cereals and legumes.
