Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter
of birthday greetings to People’s Artist of the USSR, the Ukrainian Soviet
Socialist Republic, Hero of Ukraine Sofia Rotaru.
“Your unique talent, inimitable manner of signing, charm and beauty deserve sincere admiration. Thanks to your bright individuality and commitment to art, you have conquered the hearts of millions of people and are one of the most famous singers today,” the felicitation message reads.
The head of state remarked that Sofia Rotaru’s songs are also popular in Belarus. “I am convinced that you will continue to bring happiness and good mood to people, will help strengthen friendship between our countries in the field of culture,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
