Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated member of the Belarusian national weightlifting team Gennady Laptev on a convincing victory at the 2019 EWF European Weightlifting Championships.
“It was your first senior European championships, and you demonstrated the highest level of sports prowess. May this scintillating debut inspire you and become the first step on the way to Olympic glory!” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state also wished the athlete and the entire national weightlifting team strong health, every success and new achievements.
