President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent condolences to the family and friends of
People’s Artist of the USSR Ilya Glazunov.
“Please accept my sincere condolences over the passing of the outstanding artist, teacher, public figure and a good person,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The President stressed that Ilya Glazunov lived a colorful and eventful life, reached professional heights and added an unforgettable page to the history of modern art.
“His art earned the love of people and respect of colleagues. He educated several generations of young artists and was an example of selfless service to his homeland,” the message reads.
